PICTURES: Iceland delivery van bursts into flames on Penn street after overheating
A broken down Iceland delivery van caused a stir when it caught fire.
The incident happened in Lytton Avenue in Penn at around 3pm on Saturday.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Wolverhampton were called to a false alarm after a vehicle broke down and steam came from it.
"A recovery vehicle alerted the fire service to it and our crews went along.
"They did get called back to double check a short while later but it still the same problem from an overheated vehicle.
"The stop message came through at 3.57pm."
Onlooker Ernst Stavro Keay took to Twitter to tweet the pic to the Express & Star, with the caption: "Iceland delivering freshly BBQ'd ribs in Penn today."
A spokesperson for Iceland was unavailable for comment at this point.
