PICTURES: Traffic chaos on the M54 near Wolverhampton after truck blaze
There was traffic chaos on the M54 near Wolverhampton this morning after the road was closed following a truck fire.





The fire closed the westbound carriageway between Junction 2 and 3 at about 9am with hundreds of motorists getting stuck in the area.
The vehicle was carrying amusement arcade equipment and was completely gutted in the blaze.
A spokeswoman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "The initial report came in at 9.04am and we sent fire crews from Albrighton as well as two from Staffordshire to the scene of the fire which was between Junction 2 and 3 of the M54.
"A light goods vehicle was found to be well alight and crews used four breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to bring the fire under control."
The fire was out by 9.52am but traffic problems are expected to last into the morning.
