Car smashes into wall in Wolverhampton street

This was the scene after a car smashed into a wall on a street in Wolverhampton today.

Police were called at around 8am to Woodcross Lane, Woodcross.

Police tweeted this image of the scene, with a warning to slow down on wet roads.

The driver of a silver Vauxhall Astra lost control of his vehicle and plundered through the walls, leaving a trail of debris. Bricks smashed through the windows of a parked car and another a mark from another brick on the wall of one of the houses showed it was just inches from hitting flying through a living room window.

The male driver and female passenger of the Vauxhall Astra were taken to New Cross Hospital to be checked over after the crash.
