Although formal identification is yet to take place, the family of 33-year-old Simon Evans have been informed after the discovery yesterday at around 2.30pm.
West Mercia Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and the coroner had been informed.
Earlier yesterday officers said they were becoming increasingly concerned for Mr Evans's welfare and it was believed he could be near the Wyre Forest nature reserve.
Mr Evans was last seen in the Coppice Gate area of Kinlet at about 10.30am on Tuesday.
The police thanked the public for their help in sharing the earlier appeal.
