Dudley Insp 1850 Jaswant Singh is also alleged to have been 'untruthful' in his accounts of what happened at meetings after the incident, which happened on February 23 last year.

The five-day hearing will be held in Birmingham from Monday.

Police misconduct hearings have been held in public since May this year in an effort to increase 'transparency, accountability and public confidence'.

Last month, a West Midlands police officer lost his job after being found guilty of gross misconduct in relation to a 'bad joke' about rape to officers during a training session.

Pc Richard Mayes, 45, who was the lead officer for Taser training with the force and worked in Wolverhampton for some time, told a panel at a two-day disciplinary hearing in Birmingham that his rape comment was something he regretted in hindsight.
