Two men killed in crashes are named

Two men who died in car crashes on roads in the West Midlands over the weekend have been named.

Adam Baker, a 25-year-old scaffolder from Scarborough Road, Walsall, was killed after his Peugeot 206 hit a tree in Old Park Road, Darlaston at 6.15pm on Saturday. An inquest has been opened and adjourned by Black Country senior coroner Robin Balmain at Smethwick Council House.

The man killed after his car and a lorry collided on the M6, near junction 10 at Walsall on Sunday at 6.30am, has been named as Benjamin Elliman from Swindon.

Police are appealing for witnesses to both crashes to ring 101.
