Man and woman charged with drugs offences after Stafford stop and search
A man and woman have been charged over drugs offences following a stop and search in Stafford.
Police stopped the 28-year-old man and 36-year-old woman, both from the Stafford area, on Friday, May 7, on Bridge Street.
A quantity of a substance – believed to be monkey dust – was discovered.
Jack Insley and Jenna Holland were each charged with three counts of supplying of class B drugs and possession with intent to supply.
They appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday. Insley was remanded in custody ahead of a further court appearance/ Holland was issued conditional bail.
They will both next appear at Stafford Crown Court on June 7.
Chief Inspector Giles Parsons, of Stafford Borough Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Officers are committed to continuing to work in the Bridge Street area to help address concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and drug-taking.”
