Arrest after pedestrian seriously injured in Halesowen hit-and-run
A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Halesowen.
The man, in his 50s, suffered leg injuries in the crash, which happened just before 10pm on Sunday outside the Foxhunt pub on Hagley Road.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested today on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a suspected non-stop collision in Hagley Road, Halesowen, yesterday evening.
"The man in his 50s suffered leg injuries when he was struck by a car at just before 10pm. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A 37-year-old man was today arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
"He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
