No arrests made three weeks after man killed in Black Country hit-and-run
No arrests have been made more than three weeks after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in the Black Country.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later recovered what is believed to be the vehicle involved – a silver Infiniti which had been stolen in Rowley Regis three days earlier.
Earlier this week, West Midlands Police officers shared CCTV images in a bid to trace two suspects over the hit-and-run.
But despite their efforts, no arrests have been made since Mr Whitehouse's death 22 days ago.
On Tuesday(16), a spokesman for the force said: "If you recognise the people in these images, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We are also appealing directly to the people responsible to do the right thing; come forward and account for their actions.
“If you were in the area that lunchtime and have any dash-cam or cycle-cam video we urge you to check the footage to see if the collision or a silver car making off from the scene was caught on camera. And any witnesses who we have not yet spoken with are also asked to get in touch.”
Anyone with information, or who recognises the men in the CCTV footage, can call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting log number 1827 from February 27.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
