Second man charged with murder of Dudley shooting victim
A second man has been charged with the murder of a shooting victim in Dudley.
Mohammed Haroon Zeb died after he was shot in Queens Cross during the early hours of January 31 and later died in hospital.
Akarsh Tasleem, 25, from Shaw Road in Dudley, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder on Thursday evening.
He was kept in custody ahead of a court appearance at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday.
Hassan Tasleem, 23, of Richmond Road, Dudley, was the first person charged with murder.
He appeared at court last week charged over the murder of Mr Zeb, known as Haroon, and was remanded into custody until his next appearance.
As part of the investigation a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and three men - aged between 19 to 26 - were previously detained on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They have all been bailed.
A 37-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released with no further action.
West Midlands Police said a man, 20, has also been arrested and released on bail, but did not specify what offence that was for.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from the force's homicide team, said: "This is still a very active investigation and I would continue to appeal to anyone with information who has not yet come forward to get in touch.
"Our thoughts remain with Mr Zeb’s family who continue to be supported by specialist officers. We’re determined to get answers and justice for them."
Anyone with information which could assist the police investigation is urged to contact the force via Live Chat, or by calling 101.
