Four men have been arrested over the death of a 39-year-old man shot in Dudley.
Mohammed Haroon Zeb, known as Haroon, was shot in Queens Cross just after 12.35am that day, and died from his injuries in hospital.
One man, aged 37, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and released pending further enquiries.
Three men, aged 19, 25 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They remained in custody on Friday night.
West Midlands Police is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch, including dash-cam footage.
Officers are particularly keen to speak with a man who flagged down officers in the area, just before Haroon was shot.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from the force's homicide unit, said: "These arrests are a significant development as our investigation continues at pace.
"However, I still need anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.
"Haroon’s death is tragic, my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time."
Haroon worked as a manager at a taxi firm. Tributes flooded in following his death, including from his cousin Shaz Saleem, who described Haroon as a "beautiful soul".
