Escaped convict has links to West Midlands
A man who has absconded from HMP Sudbury open prison could be in the West Midlands.
John Joseph Hickinbottom, 54, absconded from the prison on Saturday, January 2.
Hickinbottom is serving an indeterminate sentence for public protection.
He has links to the West Midlands and Gloucestershire – and is described as being white, around 6ft tall, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Derbyshire Police are asking anyone who sees Hickinbottom not to approach him.
Anyone who sees, or knows of his whereabouts, should ring 101 quoting reference number 980 of January 2.
