Yates's, in Queen Square, Wolverhampton, had a total of 27 complaints in the past year, only coming second to Walkabout Inn on Birmingham's Broad Street which had 30 complaints, according to West Midlands Police.

Meanwhile, the Square Peg, on Corporation Street, Birmingham, had 24 complaints.

In May, a court heard how a long running feud between two young women exploded into violence at the Wolverhampton venue.

Amie-Jo Lloyd threw a drink over Chloe Upton after the pair met by chance there. Miss Upton was then punched in the face.

The blow knocked out the front two teeth of the victim landing her with a near £4,000 dental bill and putting Lloyd in danger of being locked up, the court heard.

Lloyd from Old End Lane, Coseley, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm and was given a 12 month community order with 100 hours unpaid work by Judge Kristina Montgomery QC.

In April, five members of a Birmingham pickpocket gang who stole mobile phones from customers at the venue were jailed.

West Midlands Police worked with officers from Thames Valley Police in Oxfordshire to trace the men using CCTV and intelligence.

The gang of five were charged with conspiracy to steal in relation to 24 thefts, with 18 of them linked to table surfing.

The crimes took place across Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Oxford, Mansfield, Nottingham, Rugby, Loughborough, Stamford and Lutterworth between June and August of last year.

Eight crimes were committed in the West Midlands, including three within an hour in Birmingham on July 9 2015.

In February 2016, an appeal was launched by the police after a man was captured on CCTV at the venue.

A large amount of cash and personal items were stolen.

The findings were published as part of a Freedom of Information request.

Yates's declined to comment on the findings.
