Teenagers in hospital after stabbing on Black Country bus

Two teenage boys are in hospital after a stabbing on a bus in the Black Country.

The incident happened last night on Birmingham Road in West Bromwich, where it is believed a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back by a 17-year-old boy.

Both teenagers also suffered non-life threatening hand injuries and were taken to hospital.

The older boy was arrested by West Midlands Police officers.

A spokesman for the force said: "A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of wounding after it is alleged he stabbed a 16-year-old in the back.

"Both also sustained hand injuries, none of which are life threatening.

"Forensic experts are examining the bus and officers are speaking to witnesses at the scene."
