Sedgley stabbing: Boy in court over alleged attack on teenager

A boy has appeared at court charged over the stabbing of a teenager in Sedgley.

The 14-year-old came before Dudley magistrates today charged with wounding with intent following the attack on Sunday.

He was remanded in youth detention and the case adjourned for him to appear before Wolverhampton Youth Court tomorrow.

The 18-year-old victim was found with a stab wound to his stomach in the High Street at around 6pm that evening.

His condition has since improved and he is recovering well in hospital.

A 15-year-old boy also arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.
