Two arrested in Birmingham on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences
Two people have been arrested in Birmingham on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.

They were detained at an address in Sparkbrook by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit at around 7.30am this morning.
The 38-year-old man and 31-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of preparation for Acts of Terrorism.
West Midlands Police said the arrests were pre-planned and intelligence-led, and that there was no immediate threat to public safety.
