Watford fan attack: Nic Cruwys moved to specialist unit after Wolverhampton violence

Watford FC fan Nic Cruwys has been moved to a specialist care unit, some three weeks after an attack after a Wolves game left him fighting for life.

Mr Cruwys was set upon as he walked to Wolverhgampton train station, after watching the 2-2 draw.

The 44-year-old, from Hemel Hempstead, was assaulted on Little's Lane just after 5pm on March 7, leaving him with serious head injuries.

Seven teenagers, aged between 13 and 18, on suspicion of wounding the father-of-two. All have been bailed.

Detective Inspector Toni Naylor, who is leading the police inquiry, said: "We have now made a number of arrests but our investigation is still very much ongoing.

"We remain keen to hear from anyone with information about the assault - who we have not yet spoken to - and I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible.

"Nic's family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and best wishes. They are taking each day as it comes and want everyone to keep Nic in their thoughts at this time."
