Four Cocker Spaniel puppies stolen in Black Country burglary are returned
Four seven-week-old puppies snatched by thieves from a home in the Black Country have been returned.
Two women, who had bought the dogs in good faith, turned up at Brierley Hill police station on Thursday with the puppies after seeing the police appeal.
Police launched an appeal after the four cocker spaniel puppies were stolen during a burglary in Cradley Heath.
The puppies, worth around £750 each, were taken from whelping boxes in a pen in the back garden while the owners were out of the house in Maypole Fields
Jewellery and electrical equipment were also stolen during the raid, which happened at around 5pm last Friday.
The puppies are all micro-chipped.
A spokesman for Dudley Police said: "They handed the pups over to police so they could be returned to their rightful owner, who is delighted by their safe return."
