Banks, who famously pulled off the 'save of the century' from Pele's goal bound header in the 1970 World Cup, has been added to the line up for an event at Bar Sport.

He will meet and greet Pele who will give a talk on his career when he appears at Bar Sport's Premier Suite for a lunch event on September 18.

Football fans will also have the opportunity to ask questions and have pictures taken with Pele, who won three World Cups in a glittering career.

Scott Murray, owner of Bar Sport's Premier Suite, said: "To have Pele at the Premier Suite is a dream come true.

"He is the greatest ever footballer and a role model.

"To have Gordon Banks at the event to meet and greet Pele will make the event even more special.

"Gordon made that incredible save from Pele in the 1970 World Cup against Brazil which has famously been shown over and over again through the years.

"The world's greatest ever player will arguably be meeting the world's greatest ever goalkeeper once again.

"It is just so exciting for football fans to come and meet Pele and listen to stories about his phenomenal life.

"When we were offered this opportunity we simply couldn't pass it up.

"He is simply one of the greatest sportsmen of all times."

The 75-year-old played 91 times for Brazil, scoring 77 goals in an international career spanning 14 years.

He won three World Cups, in 1958, 1962 and 1970 and is a global football ambassador.

Banks, a Leicester City and Stoke City legend, made 73 appearances for England.

Tickets are between £100 and £650, which includes a five-course meal with photo and video opportunities available, and a signed shirt for the Gold class.

Back in February, the venue hosted an evening with boxer Floyd Mayweather and has also welcomed boxing legends Evander Holyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard, Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank.
