A businessman who hit the headlines earlier this year with his Urine Watch Twitter account has found more than 100 unexploded bangers as problems at the site in Walsall continue.

Chris Norton said people urinating in public was still a daily occurrence in Bradford Street and that the police are beginning to get more involved with issues at the site.

Urine Watch became active earlier this year when CCTV images of yobs urinating in the car park of the former M Latif and Sons branch were posted on the Twitter page.

More recently the account snared a National Express bus driver.

Mr Norton has now found a reel of unexploded bangers.

He told the Express & Star: "I had been off for the weekend and when I came back in there was this big reel of bangers and I wasn't sure whether to phone the police. In the end I did and they came out to have a look. They said they looked safe and said they would get people to move them.

He also added about the latest police involvement: "The council has said just to call the police and they will send someone out which they have been doing. I was never going to call them but the council told me to and since I have done they have been good.

"The public urination is still going on in the same spot but last time I spoke to the council they were discussing with the powers that be to have an order put in where they can hand out on the spot fines."

The Twitter account @urinewatch was started back in March and so far has shamed over 40 yobs.
