'Tis the season to feel jolly but we've seized your car you wally

The owner of this tinsel-clad car may not be feeling quite so festive after police seized the vehicle in Wolverhampton.

Tax had not been paid on the car for nearly four months according to West Midlands Police, who seized the car in Bolton Road, Wednesfield, on Monday.

A spokeswoman said the car - which had tinsel around the door and handles and a wing mirror - was still being driven around the area so was taken on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

Officers from Wednesfield Police were amused by the car's decorations.

The team posted on Twitter: "If you insist on dressing your car up like a Christmas Tree - make sure it's taxed and MOTd = SEIZED for Christmas."
