The travel centre at the station has been transformed following revamp work which started in October.

The centre, which sits to the right of the main entrance next to the main ticket office, was previously used for advance bookings, but will now house six new fast ticket machines to cut queuing time and allow customers to collect tickets more quickly.

Glass doors have been removed to make way for an open plan entrance. As well as the ticket machines, there will be a waiting area and a screen displaying information about arrivals and departures.

Station bosses have said the work is necessary to cater for increased demand at the station.
