Pedestrian dies in Great Barr collision
A woman has died after being hit by a car outside a Great Barr social club.
The woman was left with fatal injuries after she was struck by a silver Range Rover outside the Rise Members Club on Perry Wood Road shortly after 1pm yesterday.
The woman, whose family have been informed, was pronounced dead at the scene and is yet to be officially identified.
The driver of the Range Rover is co-operating police.
Sergeant Adam Green, from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the woman's family.
"If there was anyone in or around this Rise Social Club car park when this happened and they have not yet spoken to us, we would like them to get in touch.
"It is important we understand exactly how this collision occurred."
