Two cars and a van were involved in the crash in Bromsgrove Road, Hunnington, near Halesowen, shortly before 4.20pm.
Firefighters removed the roof of the woman's car - which had spun nearly 360 degrees - so she could be freed. She was taken to hospital with knee and hip injuries and a suspected fractured collarbone.
A passenger from the second car, aged in her 60s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
