Former Wolves and Albion player Danny Hegan dies age 72

Former Wolves and Albion player Danny Hegan has died at the age of 72 after a battle with cancer, it was announced tonight.

The Northern Ireland international made 73 appearances for Wolves between 1970 and 1973, scoring eight goals.

He also made 14 appearances for West Bromwich Albion between 1969 and 1970.
