Amy Childs will officially open her namesake academy at Stafford College on June 30.

The courses will be run in partnership with college staff and will feature nails and tanning courses.

The Amy Childs' Academy will be based in the college's Riverbank Building and will be open to the public. Its facilities will have six teaching salons, a sauna, a salt-inhalation room and a nail bar.

Stafford College principal Beverley Smith said: "Amy is a successful businesswoman who has really made a name for herself in the beauty industry.

"The opening of The Amy Childs' Academy will give our beauty students fantastic career opportunities and by having Amy on board I would like our students to draw inspiration from her business acumen and success."

The celebrity guest, aged 24, will be at the campus from 2pm to 4pm during its Welcome to College week. She will cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

Miss Childs, who has clothing and beauty businesses, said: "I want the Amy Childs' Academy to showcase beauty as a rewarding career path."
