Great Barr teen charged over nightclub murder

A teenager from Great Barr is among four charged with murdering an 18-year-old at a Midlands nightclub.

Daniel Kirkwood was found collapsed outside the Society club, in Coventry, at 2am on March 15 with a stab wound to the neck.

He was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Hasham Muqtaz Ali, aged 18, of Amberley Green, Great Barr, Saker Shireen Khan, 24, of Belchers Lane, Small Heath, Ramez Murtaza, 20, of Bordesley Green East, Bordesley Green and Tobijah Thompson, 24, of no fixed address are also charged with wounding.

All were due to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A post mortem examination confirmed he had died from a single neck wound.

Another 18-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the back, while a 17-year-old lad was also slashed across the arm with a knife. Their injuries are not life threatening.
