The father-of-two was brutally assaulted shortly after Wolves' last home game against Watford.

Wolves host Sheffield Wednesday at Molineux this evening and volunteers were distributing leaflets outside the ground.

It came as the number of people arrested over the attack rose to five

The West Midlands Police leaflet contains an appeal from Detective Inspector Toni Naylor 'imploring' anyone with information to come forward.

It states: "Detectives have received overwhelming support from genuine Wolverhampton Wanderers fans and a few days after the assault a number of arrests were made.

"But this is not the end of our investigation as there are still outstanding suspects and I still need people to come forward with information.

"We are sure that the people responsible for this attack would be known to regular visitors of Molineux and we are imploring people to come forward with names.

"Nick's family want me to pass on their thanks for the support the people of Wolverhampton have shown at this difficult time."

The same leaflet appears in the matchday programme and the club will also be running appeals over their PA system.

Three people including a 13-year-old boy have been arrested and bailed in connection with the assault
