£5k of cannabis plants seized in Tipton raid

Cannabis with a street value of nearly £5,000 was seized in a police raid in Tipton.

Officers from Great Bridge police carried out the raid at a flat on Horseley Heath at around 10.50am this morning.

A total of eight cannabis plants were found in a bedroom at the back of the property.

The raid was carried out following the execution of a drugs warrant.

A spokesman for the police said no arrests had been made and enquiries were ongoing.

It comes days after police discovered 409 cannabis plants at a property in Calshot Road, Great Barr.

Officers confirmed those plants were worth thousands of pounds.
