Perkins Social FC in Tixall Road, on the site of the Perkins Engine Company, is among 80 clubs to benefit in the latest pay-out by the Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund.

The club has already received a glut of new equipment and an overhaul of its changing facilities courtesy of the fund, which is managed by the Football Foundation, the country's largest sports charity. The latest grant will pay to replace the club's goalposts, which have become unsafe after years of wear.

Perkins Social FC, which has an adult Sunday League team playing in the Stafford and District Sunday League., hosted a ceremony two weeks ago to officially open its revamped pavilion. Guests included members of the Staffordshire County FA and Stafford MP Jeremy Lefroy.
