It includes readings by the club's chief executive Jez Moxey and a eulogy by Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint.

Sir Jack's eldest son Rick will also be giving a reading at the service which will be held in St Peter's Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton, tomorrow afternoon.

The front cover of the order of service shows a picture of Sir Jack in his RAF days.

It reads: 'Flight lieutenant Sir Jack Hayward OBE, taken off June 14, 1923 – landed January 13, 2015.'

Serving members of the RAF were due to act as pall bearers as the funeral cortege makes its way from Molineux to the church.

The service is due to begin with an extract from Rudyard Kipling's The Explorer. Kipling's poem If will also form part of the service.

Rick Hayward, also a former Wolves chairman, will recite the Rupert Brooke poem The Soldier at the funeral.

Reverend David Wright will welcome mourners to the service, which starts at 2pm on Tuesday, before O Valiant Hearts – a hymn which remembers the fallen of the First World War – is sung.

The traditional hymn Our God, Our Help in Ages Past will also be sung ahead of Sir Jack's eulogy which will be read by Wolves vice-president and his long-time friend Baroness Heyhoe Flint.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey will be reciting Maya Angelou's When Great Trees Fall before more prayers are read by Reverend Wright. The closing hymn is due to be The Battle Hymn of The Republic before Edward Elgar's Land of Hope and Glory will be played as mourners leave the church.

The order of service programme, which states it was composed with 'great thought and detail' by Sir Jack, closes with another Rudyard Kipling extract, taken from The English Flag and a tribute to the 671 RAF glider squadron which Sir Jack was part of.

Before the funeral the 671 Squadron Army Air Corps will conduct a flypast with a Lynx helicopter over Molineux as a mark of respect to Sir Jack.
