Pulis sets the trend at West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion fans have cleared out the club shop of its baseball caps - in a nod to their new head coach Tony Pulis.

The former Stoke and Crystal Palace boss, who recently took over at The Hawthorns, is known for wearing a trademark baseball cap during games.

In response, fans have now bought all the shop's caps, taking away dozens of the blue and white headgear. A new order has since been placed by the shop.

Martin Swain, director of communications at the club, said: "The baseball cap is the Tony Pulis trademark and our fans have taken to it. Hopefully it will become the emblem of a good second half of the season."

Pulis did wear a suit for his first game in charge against Gateshead in the FA Cup.

But he dropped the smart clothing for his trademark tracksuit and baseball cap for the win against Hull City on Saturday.

The caps are priced from £7.99 to £11.99.
