West Midland Police have issued an appeal for help from the public in tracing the 28-year-old from Grosvenor Close, Bushbury.

He is being sought in connection with a foiled raid on a cash delivery van at the post office in Showell Circus, Low Hill on 25 September.

The crew of the vehicle alerted police after becoming concerned about a motorcycle with two people on board which appeared to be tailing them.

When the unmarked police car reached Showell Circus, the bike accelerated but crashed on a nearby track where two men were detained.

Two other people fled from a car that turned out to have been stolen and was parked near where the post office where the van was due to make a cash delivery.

Friedman is suspected of being one of them and detectives this week issued a photograph of him after making several unsuccessful attempts to locate him at addresses he has been associated with.

The wanted man is described as a light skinned mixed race, 5ft 11ins tall with short cut balding hair, a stubble beard and lines shaved into his left eye brow.

Anyone with information should contact DC Lee Plant on 101 or alternatively information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
