The 20-year-old sustained leg injuries after she was thrown on the bonnet of the dark coloured Toyota Yaris or Citroen C1 car, hitting the windscreen.

Officers were called to Walsall Road, Stone Cross at around 9.50am on Monday, December 8, following reports of a car in a collision with a woman.

PC Laura Loy said: "We believe that the car would have received substantial damage following the crash and I am sure someone out there knows where the car is and who was driving it.

"I would appeal to the driver to do the right thing and come forward.

"I am also keen to speak to anyone who has seen a Yaris or C1 with recent damage to contact me.

"Have you repaired a car with windscreen and body damage recently? If so then please get in touch.

"No matter how insignificant people feel the information is I would urge them to call me or one of the team.

"This was an extremely serious incident and it is fortunate that the woman was not more seriously hurt and thankfully

continues to make a good recovery."

Anyone with information should call West Midlands Police on 101, or alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.
