They removed a pane of glass from a ground-floor window to enter Fallings Park Primary School, in Fallings Lane in Wolverhampton, at around 2am on Sunday.

The school's alarms were triggered during the burglary and the thieves fled with the projector.

Wolverhampton City Council spokesman Gurdip Thandi said: "No further damage was caused to the building and the projector is coded and cannot be operated without the password.

"Nevertheless, we would urge anyone with information to contact West Midlands Police and help catch the culprits."
