[gallery] Hundreds of people helped to create a world record in honour of inspirational teenager Stephen Sutton.
More than 500 gathered to make a heart shaped hand gesture, the most ever at the same time, in his hometown of Burntwood on Sunday.
He updated his Facebook page with news of the success:
The 19-year-old was only discharged from hospital on Friday just over a week after he gave a final thumbs up fearing he was going to die.
He appeared and took part in the record-breaking event at Chase Terrace Technology College as a total of 554 people helped to fulfil one of his aims before he dies.
The teenager who has incurable cancer has raised more than £3.1 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust after his fundraising appeal has gone global and attracted the support of scores of celebrities.
