One of the West Midlands' most wanted suspects arrested in Tipton
One of the West Midlands' most wanted men was dramatically arrested in Tipton today.
Officers were called to Bridge Street in an effort to find a different suspect who was wanted for stealing a van from a pub car park in Tipton last month.
They arrested the 25-year-old, but a second man, 34-year-old Gavin Reilly, was also found at the scene.
Police say he was wanted for a series of robberies at shops and petrol stations across the Black Country where cigarettes were stolen.
Officers alleged today that he climbed onto a roof and threw tiles at officers on the ground before they talked him down. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken into custody.
A police helicopter was also involved in the operation.
The force took to Twitter to reveal details of the arrest, and an Express & Star Twitter follower caught the aftermath on camera.
