Gipsy site in Essington is blocked after families object
A controversial application for a 15-pitch gipsy caravan site have been thrown out by planning chiefs.

Councillors voted against plans for site site in Bursnips Road, Essington, at a planning meeting last night.
The plans also included a day room and seven utility blocks.
They were unanimously rejected by parish councillors last year and now South Staffordshire Council has done the same thing.
Councillor David Clifft said: "One-hundred-and-nineteen residents had written to the council objecting to the application saying that Essington had already got four gipsy sites."
It was refused on the grounds that the site was have encroached on green belt land.
