Scrap metal dealer seriously injured after explosion in Darlaston
A scrap metal dealer was today in a serious condition in hospital after a fire extinguisher exploded and parts of it hit his chest.

The drama unfolded at European Metal Recycling Ltd on Bentley Road South, Darlaston.
The man, who turned up at the yard to sell scrap metal, used an axe to remove a brass collar from the neck of the cylinder when it shot off and hit him.
Police, fire crews and an ambulance were sent to the scene at around 4pm yesterday. Paramedics had to carry out CPR on the man who suffered a cardiac arrest.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he remains in a serious condition.
Willenhall watch commander Andy Morgan said: "The man had attempted to take a brass fitting off the top with an axe."
