The former Oceana nightclub in Wolverhampton has been given a new name and a new look as part of the revamp which has created 90 jobs.

Faces, which has rooms across two floors for revellers, was launched with a new student night called Dirty Antics.

The Bilston Street venue has been been kitted out with new lighting, DJ booths and furniture.

Entrepreneurial manager of the club Mark Hickey said: "We have been working right down to the wire to get everything ready in time. At the weekend we are expecting a turnout of around 1,500 revellers with many of them being students from the University of Wolverhampton.

"All of the decor has been designed by me and everywhere you look you can see paintings of faces to match the new name.

"It has taken around three weeks for us to pull everything together and at times it has been stressful but it is definitely worth it."

Mr Hickey, added: "Over the coming months we are expecting to have some big names make special appearances – I hope a lot of people will take advantage of that and come along to see what Faces is all about."
