With regular updates on Wolves' managerial merry go-round and breaking news around the clock, more readers than ever before logged on to the Star website last month.

A busy month at Molineux saw the sacking of Dean Saunders after Wolves were relegated, with the appointment of Kenny Jackett ending a search for the new boss that lasted 24 days.

With daily updates on the selection process, as well as regular fan polls and video vox-pops, the Express & Star was the first point of call for Wolves fans hungry for the latest news. And with more and more stories broken first online, from traffic chaos to tragic incidents, Expressandstar.com had more than nine million page views across May, compared to seven million this time last year.

More than 20,000 Twitter followers are also kept up-to-date with the latest from the region.

This focus on social media saw record numbers of referrals from Facebook and Twitter, which also contributed to the website's success. And with fresh content coming from our new Weekend section online, where our top team of columnists give a host of opinions, there is plenty to read every day online.

Adapting to fit whichever screen you are reading on, be it phone, tablet or desktop, the responsive design makes for easy reading on the move. And for those who prefer the page-turning experience of a newspaper online, our app is available on iTunes, Android and Kindle as well as a desktop edition.

Express & Star editor Keith Harrison said: "One of the beauties of our website is the depth of content that we can offer. Every weekend our photographers attend events across the region, such as the Steam and Vintage Rally, and we can put up full picture galleries online.

"We further highlight the quality writing of our journalists in the new Weekend section online and get instant response from our readers on all manner of subjects with hundreds of comments every day.

"The website continues to go from strength to strength and these record figures prove that this is an integral part of the service we provide."
