Workers are being recruited at Wolverhampton's busy post office – following complaints of queues backing out of the door leading to lengthy delays to get served.

Customers at the city centre post office claim they have been left waiting for up to 30 minutes to be served. They said queues can regularly be seen trailing out of the Lichfield Street building during early mornings and lunchtimes, with only a few members of staff seeming to be on duty to serve dozens of waiting customers.

Bosses today announced they were hoping to take on two new members of staff to cope with the demand and put an end to "excessive" waiting times.
