Arsonists targeted a house in the Black Country today.
Firefighters were called to an empty two-storey house on Willenhall Road, Walsall, at 12.40pm to find the blaze raging on both floors.
Watch commander Ade Cope, of Bilston fire station, said today: "The property had been broken into through a window at the rear of the property and a fire started inside."
Initially two engines went to the blaze but neighbours told crews an elderly man had been using the building as a squat and so a third engine from Fallings Park in Wolverhampton was called along with an ambulance.
Mr Cope added: "We searched the building and there was no evidence that the man had been there over night."
The boarded up eyesore was last targeted by arsonists just wees ago.
