Officers arrested two men outside The Pilot in Aldersley as what detectives say was a "significant" amount of amphetamine, also known as speed, changed hands.

Two kilos of the drug was found in a car and three kilos was recovered from addresses which were searched after the arrests, which happened on Friday afternoon.

A black Range Rover Sport has also been seized under Proceeds of Crime legislation.

Colin Brown, aged 29, of Kingfare Drive, Tettenhall Wood, and Jonathan Hodson, 28, of Long Acre, Coven, have been charged with being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.

They have been remanded in custody by magistrates to appear before the city's crown court on March 7 when it is expected they will be asked to enter a plea.

A man and a woman in their 20s have also been arrested and released on police bail pending investigation.
