The search was on today to find a mystery millionaire in the Black Country who is unaware that they have been sitting on a small fortune for the past three weeks.

A prize of £1.1m is sitting unclaimed because the lucky winner who lives in the Dudley borough has so far failed to come forward.

Lottery bosses are urging players to check their tickets from a draw held on May 29 when someone matched all six numbers in the Lotto draw. The winning numbers on that date were 2, 17, 36, 39, 42, 48.

The bonus ball was 41. The lucky ticket-holder has until 5.30pm on November 25 2010 to make their claim.

A spokesman said: "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life."

Dudley is on a winning streak after a pub syndicate scooped £1m on the EuroMillions "Millionaire Raffle."

Their £2 stake in the main draw gave them automatic entry into UK-only raffle.

The 15-strong syndicate from The Old Star pub in Brockmoor, Brierley Hill, was yesterday toasting the win.

Jubilant licensee Garry Adams, 51, said he couldn't believe his luck when he got a phone call from a fellow member asking him to check the numbers on Saturday.

He said: "I was trying to think about the England match that evening, and here I was looking on Teletext and on my computer for £1million pounds.

"I couldn't believe we may be winners.

"I then saw a line of letters and numbers which is the EuroMillions raffle code and the figure £1,000,000.

"I was laughing and crying at the same time and knocked over my cup of freshly brewed tea in all the excitement."

Mr Adams and his wife Annette, aged 43, plan to give some money to their family but have no further spending plans at the moment.

Each member of the syndicate scoops £66,666.

Other members want to pay off their mortgages and debts with some buying cars, booking holidays or spending the cash home improvements.

The winning ticket was bought at Asda in Pearson Street, Brierley Hill.
