Ibehre keeping goals target quiet

Walsall hero Jabo Ibehre is still keeping his goals target a closely guarded secret – despite opening the league campaign with two successive goals.

But the former Leyton orient striker admits he has set himself a target.

He said: "I am keeping that to myself at the moment but obviously I could not have asked for a better start."

He believes that leaving the Matchroom Stadium will make him a better player.

He said: "The time was right for me to move, although I knew it was taking me out of comfort zone. I was moving to an entirely different area, meeting new people and it has helped me improve my game."

"We did have a hard pre-season and it was tough but now I believe we are reaping the rewards. We are fit and I think that they way we came back on Saturday, scoring such a late winner, shows real character in the team. It is nice to score goals but I see myself as a team player."
