He will feature with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who will be live on stage, in If I Can Dream. And the show will feature a special personal appearance by his former wife Priscilla Presley.

The show follows the release of last year's incredible million-selling album of the same title, which used archive recordings of The King's voice featuring new orchestral arrangements of some of his biggest hits.

It created an enthralling album, which gave Elvis his 12th UK No1 and his 50th Top 10 hit.

Now fans will have a chance that many have never had before – to experience the man who changed the course of popular music, the biggest selling solo artist in history (having sold an astonishing one billion records worldwide) - live on screen.

They will see him performing the his most well-known rocking songs and his tender, heart-wrenching ballads.

Priscilla said: "What an honour for me to present for the live debut of what has become a very prestigious and beloved album along with other favourites backed by a full symphony orchestra."

The show follows the release of a further record, The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, on October 21, which followed the same principle as its predecessor and also topped the charts.

The album spans a variety of musical styles that Elvis embraced, from rock and gospel to country and ballads, featuring beloved Presley classics along with several surprises.

"Elvis always loved the great, operatic vocalists," said Priscilla, executive producer of the record. "We often talked about his interest in recording material that allowed him to perform in that space.

"It's exciting to hear him on these recordings, performing with the world-class Royal Philharmonic Orchestra via the magic of Abbey Road Studios. He would have loved these performances and I'm very happy that we were able to make this dream come true for Elvis and his fans."
