In the Night Garden characters Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka join Disney's Mickey and Minnie Mouse, while Peppa and George Pig and Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol are also among the line-up.

The event, now in its seventh year, is organised by West Midlands Police and the City of Wolverhampton Council.

Other attractions include sport taster sessions, an inflatable assault course and bouncy castle, Megasaur slide, quad bikes, laser tag, bungee trampolines, paintball and face painting.

Signal 107 will be broadcasting live from the park on the day, and there will be entertainment on stage courtesy of Light House.

Younger visitors will have their own early years marquee sponsored by Shooting Stars Nursery with a ball pool and soft play area.

PC Joe Trusselle, of Wolverhampton Police, said: "The Family Fun Day gets bigger and better. Last year's event was a real success with over 5,000 visitors from across the city, and we're hoping to welcome even more this year."

Entry to the event on Saturday, August 6, is free although charges for individual activities apply. Money raised from the event will go towards the Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre, the Wolverhampton branch of the National Childbirth Trust and the Bilston and District Soroptomists. The fun takes place between 10am-6pm.
