Plea for help at Stourbridge Beer Festival

Organisers of the 19th Stourbridge Beer Festival are still looking for volunteers to help.

The Stourbridge and Halesowen branch of the Campaign for Real Ale is holding the event in Stourbridge Town Hall from April 20 to 23.

Camra members who would like to help at any of the sessions can sign up on the festival website at www.stourbridgebeerfest.org.uk

There will be more than 80 casks of real ale this year and among the local breweries supplying beer are: Kinver Brewery, Halesowen breweries Fixed Wheel and Angel Ales; Pig Iron, Brierley Hill and Black Country Ales, Upper Gornal, which is also sponsoring the festival programme.

The Mercian Alliance of Brewers is also supplying a collaborative beer called Cnebba, named for a former king of the Anglo Saxon kingdom of Mercia.
