Mark Arnott-Job, owner of Two Towers Brewery, said: "Given its the 50th anniversary of the band, we just thought why not do a beer to mark the occasion?

"We wanted to mark the event with something you can hold in your hand and drink. It's a great opportunity for us.

"The band are great ambassadors for Birmingham and the Black Country, and all our products are to do with Birmingham and the Black Country so it just seemed to make sense."

Slade drummer Don Powell, who was born in Bilston, is set to appear at the convention which will run from 1pm until 11pm.
